Telkom integrated data wallet launched

OK no activation yet... anyone know who to contact here ? Don't feel like phoning in and spending hours going in circles :mad:

Tried Telkomza,or Telkom on social media platforms?
 
Revived mine now,awaiting activation sms

Finally got mine activated after exhausting all methods of communication I sent a pm to TelkomZA on this site , he/she/it takes long to reply but will eventually send a pm with your internet username/landline number ,once activated follow set up instructions and it works

There is a project in progress to make this easier / more streamlined, but I don't have confirmation that it is working correctly.

My use case if for when we go away weekends which is quite often (3 phones and tablets). 5GB might just cut it for one weekend with the kids streaming youtube :whistle:

:D ... they gave it to me as part of their "Allways Connected" campaign, considering I move around 400GB/mth they're rather optimistic.
 
So when is this launching for everyone? I've had a Telkom mobile sim card for almost two years that came with my adsl line and nada
 
I just went into a telkom store and picked up one before the easter break. Got it setup and working on the day(after an initial setup a week before didnt work :twisted:). Popped the sim in my portable wifi router, and took it with me to the Coast. Worked like a charm. Got speeds of upto 15Mb/s in my area, no issues. Had netflix running like a dream. Runs better than my current 4Mb adsl line :erm:.

Hmm wonder if I should just go and do that, as I've got my Telkom ADSL data that just goes to waste every month. This way it can actually be used for something :-)

That was my thinking as well, just take your ID and go to a store.
MAKE SURE THEY ACTIVATE IT AND SET YOU UP BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE STORE.
If not, you will have to deal with telkom call centre :sick:
Can be done (if the staff knows what they doing) within an hour(max, maybe 30-45min average), and should be working immediately.

I was considering this as I have an unused 3G router lying around, until I checked Telkoms coverage in Langebaan. Only 2G Roaming. This sucks big time. :cry:

Can you explain the process? Will they give these linked sim's to any ADSL subscriber now? Office ADSL is on a really bad line and the infrastructure is so decayed that more than 8MB is never going to happen.

As far as i know it is available to anyone with a telkom adsl account.
Go in store, ask for telkom integrated product, link to adsl account, get sim card, activate SIM card(backend services done to link sim to adsl profile - done by consultant), put sim in device, configure apn, finish the internets.

apn is : TelkomInternet
no username/password
