Hello

Not sure if this is the correct thread.

I need help understanding the new TI IDS policy. I understand the fact that it changed since the 1st of April and you now only get allocated 1gig every month depending on you're line speed and monthly cap and also that if you want to use any data after that, that you will have to pay for it. Does it work the same on a 4meg uncapped account? ( which i currently have) or is there like a monthly add on that you can buy, say for X amount and then you can use all you're adsl data on that sim card or atleast a portion of it?

Thanks.

I have read through that article trying to understand it better, though no one mentions anything about uncapped accounts. Thats why i'm a bit confused.

Uncapped/capped accounts both now receive capped amounts of data on the SIMs. No addons. Remember the idea behind the SIM was to be a backup incase the ADSL service went down for some reason... Sadly the latest revision screwed us.

4MB and under uncapped = 1GB IDS cap.
6, 8 & 10MB uncapped = 2GB IDS cap
20MB and higher uncapped = 3GB IDS cap.

It's sad actually. I used that service quite alot. Now I just get a 1GB which is waaaay too little. Thing is I wouldn't mind paying R100 or even R150 for that service to be able to use my whole adsl account on the sim ( like I used to) but paying R195+ ( and that's just for 5GB ) for a decent amount of data is just too expensive. That 5GB won't last me long.
