Telkom international ADSL connectivity problems

There is a SAIX notice regarding the outage too.

Note, it is not all international traffic that is affected, but HTTP and some P2P is affected.

Non-HTTP non-P2P should be working.

Durban, no international traffic :(

My second day of having adsl after like 5 years, and my up time stats are now at 50%

I am beginning to experience the same on 8ta.

Some international mail servers of mine has gone down on 8ta. Some international IPs are also busy going down, they include Google, twitter and many more.

Yip, or "yep" as they say now, it's back up. Something i seem to remember saying on my wedding night. Still worried about the dome and smoke and mirrors more than ever before though.
 
Damn and I was going to phone and ask for my 1mb today.
 
Telkom informed MyBroadband that the problem was caused by a caching server hardware failure which started around 07:00 on Friday morning.

This problem was resolved at around 10:00, and all services should be back to normal.
