Then it's not my nonsense. It comes from Telkom today. They looked on the account profile and said 4Meg. I said "no 2" and he said the line was showing I could use 4Meg if I paid for it to Telkom or any ISP.Thats nonsense

I did check with Charl and he's never heard of you (apart from your alias here on the forum).
That's what I said.Your line being capable of 4 isnt the same as you being subscribed to 4. My line is capable of 20 but i pay for 4 and my line syncs on 4

Don't misunderstand. It still depends on what speed your ISP sells you. By default, the line is ready for up to 4 according to Telkom today.
That's what I said.
We know Telkom are preparing to make 4Meg the minimum, so it makes sense to do that now. I imagine some exchanges won't have done it yet. I'm also on an iMax card, which I'm told is the newer equipment.
Hahahaha. You're not talking to Charl then ...
I introduced Telkom to the forumites after telephonic discussions with Charl O. and his manager (A.M.).
That's what I said.

Again if it's nonsense then take it up with Charl's team when next you speak. The guy clearly said we're on 4meg, but only use and pay for 2.So, your ISP (including Telkom) needs you to pay more to take your line to 4Mbps? So then it's not a free upgrade like last years' 4 to 10, 2 to 4 and 1 to 2 upgrades?
If you connect as guest@telkomadsl, do you get 3.4 to 3.8Mbps using the speedtest link at http://www.saix.net, or do you get 1.6 to 1.9Mbps? Because that doesn't depend on what your ISP sells you, only your current line speed.
Old trolling trick being pulled here guys, I believe it's called the bait and switch.
AG just contradicted himself about 5 times in as many posts.

It would seem that the "technicians" are ignoring you.The guy was not that specific, which is why I can't be. I was half expecting one of the technicians on this thread (or even Ranger) to say "I know what that means ... he meant xxx". I guess the immature responses are to be expected.
