If you go outside to find a random tree in your garden and give it hell, it will be a more productive exercise than giving hell to someone in a Telkom call centre.

And that is where the breakdown is!

It is very difficult to get a knowledgeable person on the line who actually has a decent understanding of the systems and network.

How I wish for the old days!

A technician would not be put on shift before having 6 years of experience under his belt, and the call centre would be backed up with back office personnel who could really solve problems,. with a clear escalation process we all understood.

Just got international back now but yeah, dropped from 500ms to 230ms and now around 180ms now. Don't know what happened there, seemed to fall off the international map for a few minutes.
 
Sooner or later a reboot is the only way out with WIN 10. I had to resort to re-starting the ADSL router a few minutes ago.
