Telkom Internet Capped/Uncapped User Feedback (Pt2)

My line was dead last night.
The router authenticated but there was no internet access.
No change this morning.

I had that about a month ago. Tried explaining that to Telkom and they told me that i must be using the incorrect details on my router. So i asked for all 3 of my ISP accounts and all he said was yes. He then goes and changes my TI password without authorization. Dam right useless. Came right by itself after a day tho.

That is precisely why I was on the phone with Telkom for several hours the other day.

As things stand now, I need to reset my router about four to six times until it connects (if I have changed an account).

It's possible the rain is causing the issues? Had the same the other night.

Early tests show that Telkom is working again this morning. Let's hope it stays like this for everyone. :D

Something odd going on with TI Tracker.

Checked my usage today and the bar is sitting at +/- 30% when I've only used about 140GB on my 10MB uncapped, previously the bar would have been at +/- 15%. As I average 350GB/mth I'm unlikely to go into the red but I wonder if TI is implementing lower FUP limits?

Anyone else seeing anything similar on the 2MB & 4MB uncapped accounts?

Not even halfway through the month and I'm already at red and registered as a power user on a 4mb line....what in the actual flip? How is it possible to do 400gig in 13 days with the speed we are getting?

MickZA - 4mb uncapped, 36gb this month and I'm sitting on about 10% maybe 15% just before the u.

179.51 gig total
Then it looks like TI's changed their unofficial uncapped "softcap" limits as I could do over 300GB last year on 4MB uncapped without going into the red. Bear in mind that TI have never provided limits to the forum and what we've been using as guidelines was based on MyBB members experience in 2013.

I'm guessing ranger's not allowed to comment on this development either (or the weird QoS TI has been playing about with since the beginning of March).

Edit: wonder how many ex-MWeb "abusers" moved to TI after they changed their FUP.

Telkom's stance on throttling is very strange. When I was on the phone with them one of the guys said I was being managed and said part of the reason was 8 gigs I had downloaded on Afrihost.

:wtf:
