Looks like exchange congestion I'm afraid
 
Lowered my sync speed to 1mb because of high SNR on 2mb and everything works fine most of the time.

Although this is day #24 waiting for a technician to fix the noise on my line after having the fault closed twice with nothing fixed.
 
I have a 2mb line and I'm not a heavy downloader. My line is almost always idle, and I have just a little bit of green bar on the usage tracker... Like a quarter. I should not be throttled and yet I can't get into my cloud storage after 5, and I can't use DC++ at all, at any time of day. It's disgusting!

Is there a fault, or is this their service now? Because I didn't ask for or need the speed upgrade. I'd be happy to go back to 1mb and have my internet work.

There is a fault connected to accounts, not the exchanges or bandwidth. They are trying to fix it (been open for 3 months +) Presumably their NOC hasn't figured out the management yet and has stuck it on 90% shape.

This makes sense :D. Welcome Taranis :) ....please update us on the situation as and when you can.

Experiencing degraded performance as per above post so it is just shaping heh.
 
OMF Telkom have charged me AGAIN for uncapped for the month. They really can go **** themselves.

Account cancelled 2 Feb, stopped working 2 March after their 30-days - yet I'm being billed 2 March - 11 March, and 12 March - 11 April.

Everything was working until aboutm 8pm last night.
Like clockwork it all fell apart again.
Thank goodness Afrihost data is not expensive and actually works.

Just lined up everything via nzb this morning on Telkom as it always seems to fly.
 
Things are back to normal for me since the internet disconnected for about 5 minutes last night. Must have been a repair somewhere. Might go terrible again at peak hours, but for now it's great!
 
+1, using a backup account now. So many people on TI i know are down as well.
Happened again for 5 minutes up to 3:32. 3:33 working again touch wood.

The exact same thing happened yesterday and the day before but in the evening. My connection is normally very stable so I notice these little outages
