Strangely my usage on TItracker jumped from just under 10% Thursday morning to 25% that afternoon with maybe 1 gig used in that time. After it jumped to 25%, my usage outside NightSurfer hours was at 11.5GB for the month (got the info from ranger). Tracker is now still at 25% for the month, so I guess the bar jumps to 25% when you've in fact only reached the 10% mark.

Agreed. Call it a 140GB capped account. That's what it is. After 140GB for the past two months, I have been taken to 384k limits. 2MB line.
 
Afrihost 4mbs uncapped DSL bundled + Telkom line rental total: R754 p/m.
Telkom Simple Uncapped Plus 4mb which I opted for in January because of the R644 price tag now is R770...

Any reason to pay premium for TI?

And since I don't think I'll easily use more than 100-120 gb p/m, I might as well go with Afrihost capped 50+50, 10mbps for a little less money than above, but superior speed. When I breach the 100gb mark, I can easily top-up, no mess, no fuss.

Anyone with experience at Afrihost that can recommend to stick with TI as the better alternative since price as a Telkom USP just went out the window...
What are the odds that Afrihost cancels or severely curtails their capped double data come end September?
 
Streaming down the toilet again tonight - with the impending increase it may be time to look elsewhere.
 
Gees another price increase, when i signed up in Jan for my 2MB telkom simple it was 514pm then it increased to 549pm now its 580 odd, WTF.
 
Browsing and ping have been terrible the past 3-4 days in Kzn, even MyBB is taking ages to load today what gives :/

Please check your pm's. Just upgraded to 10meg and they borked it totally. I got an sms saying my login names start with a reserved_

Emails are bouncing and cannot connect to telkom adsl
