@NorthPole - yip, switched to backup account too. Telkom underground cable fault . Hopefully mybb will have an article up so this thread doesn't get flooded .

Anyone's connections being useless? Can't get onto MBB, ping requests time out, switched to Afrihost seems to working fine though...

Most sites are not working. Strangely enough mybb is working on my phone though

Yep, 99% dead. Couldn't load google, myBB, IOL or log in to Guild Wars 2. Reddit still worked.

Yep TI went tits up just now. Only sites one could browse were telkom, titracker & userstats, anything else was dead.

First telkom call center guy cut me off, second guy wanted to test my line, that place is manned by absolute idiots.

No. Checked my PC logs, dipped for about 30 seconds. Back now.

Had the same problem. Could only open telkomsa.net earlier. Downloads were unaffected and mail was still receiving but browsing went belly up for 15 minutes. Was just about to phone the call centre when it came back on again.

This issue also affected leased lines. Our ME connection at work also went dead with just saix.net, telkom.co.za and speedtest.net accessible.
