EDIT: Nah, trying to stream a movie and it's showing me a fat toffee. Router lights are barely blinking, still on strike.

Well my battlenet is working fine with Diablo 3. Havent tried youtube to much yet

I expect proper service when I pay for it. I understand faults happen, but this is more than a fault. It is an operational problem affecting 25% of users in on of the major Metropolitan areas in South Africa.

I also see there are guys like Ranger who have been very helpful with feedback, and make no mistake I do appreciate his efforts. I understand he is not directly responsible (so my venting is not directed at him), but as a whole I am very very unhappy with Telkom lately.

It was so freaking hard to try and type this without getting banned.

The Telkom internet performance is all over the place. Some weekends in particular are just deplorable. It looks like they squeezed the bandwidth. Online gaming is very hit 'n miss. Torrents don't work during the day anymore either.

I always download overnight, but it does not stop you getting capped on uncapped!
 
Can somebody tell me what i can expect to pay on a 2meg account with TI (everything), im currently on a 4meg paying about R750 p/m on the DSL only. And thinking of downgrading for a couple months (possibly till December because that's when i want to re subscribe for Netflix again), to save some bucks.

And also, what the average 2meg user gets a month, right now on my 4 Meg uncapped account, im getting not more that 150-180 gigs a month. All my series download in 720 and i only download 1080/720 movies.
I don't stream all that much, and i game generally weekends only for a couple hours at a time.

I don't use torrents at all, only NZB's with a subscription from Nextgen News.

Also, is this what my bill is supposed to look like, im only really looking at it now and notice im being charged for a DSL Faster bundle, Line rental and Home Uncapped Adv?

R534.25 incl VAT (So R217.25 cheaper than 4Mb/s package/bundle)
If you can manage to get an adsl discount it's R438.26 incl VAT
Both of the above obviously exclude any call charges.

If you are only getting 150-180GB a month on a 4MB package then you are doing it wrong, schedule downloads from 00:00-06:00
I did close to 150GB last month and I was not pushing it to the max, some days I downloaded nothing. I only got into orange a day before the end of the month because I installed a couple of steam games during the day knowing that I will not get into the red before the end of the month.

No, sorry i didnt explain properly, i schedule my downloads to run from 11pm - 07am, and my pc shuts down, i only get 150-180gigs because that's all i have to download a month, i previously managed to get about 400+ Gigs some months ago (with scheduling), but i don't feel the need to download the internet anymore. Sick beard just grabs whats needed and i get the movies if and when its released. Previous months were mainly just filling up missing episodes where needed and grabbing some classics in 1080 and 720, no need for that really anymore.

Ok understood, in that case you can expect to get about the same then if my usage is anything to go by.
