Appreciate the feedback :) , can happily say it is gone this morning and things are snappy as can be :). While i was experiencing the issues, i could download at line speed so that wasn't affected however browsing was.

Good start to the week, may we all have fast speeds and this thread see under 50 posts by week(end) :p.
 
YouTube was buffering oddly last night. I had to restart the videos every time because it just stopped. Eventually gave up.

Only one decent torrent completed last night. Very poor night with extreme shaping.
 
Had a techie come over to my house on Saturday. Checked for noise on my line and then said my problem is down to congestion. Said he was going to move me to a different port at the exchange.

My internet is still dog slow and I'm still getting terrible pings when playing games online :(

My internet was working fine before my exchange had a general traffic failure 3 weeks ago. Ever since then it's been horrible.

From after midnight to around 2:30AM. Never reached even 2/3 line speed.

How can I make a plot like ranger's?
 
DDNS is unreliable.

I activated ddns on my telkom account a few weeks back and find that most of the time I cannot ping the xxx.mydns.telkomsa.net address. On the odd occasion it does work.

TI Service Management Tool shows: Welcome to Telkom Internet Dynamic DNS Activator, your Dynamic DNS is Enabled

I have also checked via http://network-tools.com/

Any ideas?

Please nslookup your DDNS address a few times, and see if you get the same IP, or different IPs.

I did see previous IPs returned in the early stages of testing. I think some changes were made to address this, but there may be another aspect to fix.

You can also PM me your username and I can check, and get a stale record cleared manually.

After not working for the morning I see it is working now.

I'll pm details nowand again in the future if I cannot ping.
 
Now youTube doesn't load properly. It gets to 30 - 45 seconds and stops. You have to reload to get it going.

Been like this for a few days.
