Telkom Internet Capped/Uncapped User Feedback (Pt2)

I switch my phone to h+ instead of WiFi when I get home, because at those times even cell c is better than telkom....
 
Busy setting up Sabnzbd/Sickbeard to try - getting 3-4 kbps on a torrent with 43 peers, 48 seeders, 12.98 availability ...

Then Eskom goes and falls over - no power ... , everything, gone to the dogs ...
 
I woood not mind the load shedding if BUFFALO CITY MUNICIPALITY.stuck to the shedule.
my downloads runnig full speed night surfer.
Last month was RED about 5days and was not throttlled .

And it was this inconsistency that made me leave. You cannot have internet that works 100% for three days, then is unusable for a week again. Made the jump to Web Africa home capped (which is also a shaped service, unlike their premium capped) and nothing has since buffered, gaming is 100%, pages load lightning fast, etc. Thinking of cancelling my backup Afrihost and Axxess accounts, even though they work like a charm too but is not needed anymore.
 
IPC upgrades have been ordered for all sites, the Gauteng site will get the biggest percentage increase. These upgrades are based on a more comprehensive bandwidth sizing model, which we should be able to apply consistently and more regularly.

It will take a few days (I think the turnaround time is supposed to be 2 business days), so hopefull there should be an improvement by Tuesday (10th) or Wednesday (11th).

does this account for non-full-speed-which-i-normally-get downloads? is there some serias shaping place to try and smooth out browsing experiences over downloads, over and above the normal stuff that we are already used to?

I can't connect to Telkom, line is sync'ing properly. :( Anyone else having that problem in Buffalo City? I can dial up using my afrihost account so I assume its Telkom Internet.

EDIT: It connected now :) Not sure what happened.

My line was Dropping about 4 times today ( now just waiting to see when load Shedding kiks in )

I'm also battling to authenticate my Telkom account....
