Telkom Internet Capped/Uncapped User Feedback (Pt2)

Apparently Telkom have been busy with some type of upgrade which necessitated that a number of clients lost connectivity. Late yesterday evening we were re-connected and this morning I was contacted by a Telkom technician who explained the situation. Must say very impressed with the response despite feeling quite inconvenienced by the unexpected break in connectivity.
 
Has anyone else there been having issues with their download speeds after midnight till 7am? The reason I ask is that for the last week or so, my download speeds have been sitting at about half my line speed during those times, then as soon as 7am rolls around it jumps back up to full line speed. I try to set all my downloads during this time but I now find myself having to pull during the day now as I can't get them done during those hours anymore.

I also noticed this SLOW download speeds
Not all the time but a lot or most of the time .
Most of my Downloads are for my kids so I can stop them till the next eve .
IF its for me Ill just run it after 7am full speed :-)
 
Is the call center the only way to get a user name and password? I've spent hours trying to get mine, operators push me from pillar to post, some request details such as tin numbers. Others say they have sent me the details only for me to receive nothing and if its none of that i just get pushed between departments.

Telkom is truly pathetic when it comes to this sort of stuff.
 
Never mind, i have finally come right now. Telkom really need to sort out their service though.

You mean besides the fact that 1080p would 'soft-cap' your telkom account not even half way through the month if you would have to stream 1080p content daily.

well yes, unless he changes ISP for his data then he should be okay
 
Anyone in the northern suburbs of CPT experience slow speeds since around thursday? Speeds are under 50kB/s. I checked on TI tracker and my usage for the month is still not "restricted".

I have rebooted the router but its still the same. This goes for streaming, http, downloads etc.

Yeah, same with me. 2 meg uncapped.

I dont think I even did half of that this month and mine is fooked.
