Telkom Internet Capped/Uncapped User Feedback (Pt2)

but facebook wasnt working and there were a few issues later the night After I fixed the issue
 
for some reason. all 2 weeks running smooth. last 3 days Facebook doesn't load images again!
 
Aaaand system error again. But live chat agent says it's working on their side :(
 
Ipv6 is off, doesn't explain good use for 2 weeks then all of a sudden no Facebook images. this is just one I can think off. many things stop working properly

no idea then :(
i had the same problem- no issues then all of a sudden images weren't loading on face book, started trawling through everything - found Ipv6 was on (don't recall activating it)
 
I've also been having similar type issues since the 1st, mine are DNS issues, "Unable to resolve DNS" Message comes up on most web pages, (which after a router reboot - seems to go away) and i cannot access the google playstore at all on my Telkom TI line? Could this be related? Not sure if i should log a fault for this as the DNS issue is intermittent?
 
Ping to the telkom exchange drops off repeatedly for 30+ seconds at a time, many sites not working right, SSL getting disabled, packets dropping. What is happening?!

Also noticed that SAIX fixed the issue on their side, still waiting on feedback. :( We will continue with our efforts to setup direct peering with MTN to prevent similar issues in future. That should prevent things like the 10 day turn around time.

Things seem worse now. Since the start of this week, packet lose and 100+ ms to local.

You guys need some help ?

Ill explain how the ISPs work in SA. They pretty much dont want to spend the correct amount of funds needed to support the clients they have. So what they do, is actively move 'issues' from one user to another. So one day, user x has terrible internet and **** isnt working, this is due to the isp slowing the connection on purpose, in order to now make someones connection who has been bad for a few days, all of a sudden 'fine'.

Its a pretty shaddy practice but there is no way to prove it, and no governmental laws prohibiting it.

Your best bet is getting 2-3 DSL accounts from different ISPS and simply swap when you get ****ed.
