Telkom Internet Capped/Uncapped User Feedback (Pt2)

Thanks guys you solve my DNS problem, I changed it to google dns 8.8.8.8 and my internet is working
 
Changing to a Google DNS didnt change anything for streaming. I cant stream ANYTHING!!! WTF is up with that?! When is this crap going to get sorted out?!
 
Has anyone been having issues with downloads during the Nightsurfer periods?

My downloads are scheduled for this time each evening but the last 2 weeks almost none of my downloads are completed overnight and I am talking about less than 3GB in total each evening.

I am on a 2mbps uncapped package with TI.

nope no issues
what sync speeds are you getting theoretically night surfer should make use of your full sync speed if you are not throttled

anyone else in DBN area struggling with ping issue, to mostly Counter Strike servers in CPT..

ping to Teamspeak and CS hosted in CPT, will be 25ms, then for large part of day its 120ms

it's really annoying

Yeah lastnight was 200ms plus in Durban. Couldn't stream anything. Fixed itself around midnight/1am. Really hope it doesn't become regular or internet is just plain useless then, time to pull out the shortwave radio.
 
How's the uncapped for heavy streaming (Netflix + ShowMax + YouTube)?

Moving on from CrystalWeb - Tried Axxess and while Netflix + YouTube is perfect ShowMax was pretty bad.

Our line went bonkers for abit, attenuation increased and speed halved. Back to normal now. We had technicians working down the road fixing/replacing? copper from few days now. Funny thing is we don't route through there. Analogue line was also buggered but back to normal too. :)
 
Received my monthly bill today and I see that Telkom haven't adjusted the pricing to the new pricing structure.

Anyone else picked this up?
 
Mine was adjusted. I'm not sure if I still qualify for the free upgrade cos I was only supposed to be migrated from Aug 31.

I was on the uncapped promo.
