Telkom Internet Capped/Uncapped User Feedback (Pt2)

Received my monthly bill today and I see that Telkom haven't adjusted the pricing to the new pricing structure.

Anyone else picked this up?

haven't seen anything different on my bill then again cost of old and new are the same - though i see I have CallerID now which was not included in my old one so might be migrated

The new pricing should kick with the next billing cycle apparently.
 
I`m using Aztech modem , from yesterday afternoon my internet light goes off on my modem.When hard reseting and re-entering all details.The internet stays on for about 2 hrs after this the internet light goes off again, then I have to hard reseting again and add all details in the modem.I called telkom and I received a fault reference number.Is there anyone having the same problem.Is this a line or a modem problem.

Yeah, no change on my latest bill either.

I'm also having one helluva time getting the IDS activated. I've had the sim for a week now.

Next time, don't re-set it first, but log in and check a few things.

If the modem forgets your username, it sounds like a hardware problem on the modem.

Does the DSL sync light stay on when the internet light goes off?

Do the logs say anything useful?

My DSL light is on only the internet goes off
 
If ypu have a PC (or other device that can PPPoE), try a PPPoE connection from it and see if it also drops the connection.

Last night I checked my other PC and it drops the line also , so far it`s now 2 hrs and having a stable connection hope it stays that way.

With this "who knows when" upgrade I might as well downgrade from 4Mbps to 4Mbps and pay less
 
yeah completely unknown, we were told yesterday or today during midday to midnight, still waiting. They said some period of downtime will happen so I guess it will be like 2 weeks ago... on a Friday, then reconnected on a Monday afternoon....

What my router tells me today. I am on a 4mb 40gb capped account.
