Telkom Internet Capped/Uncapped User Feedback (Pt2)

This is probably the most stupid question you guys will read today, but what are the chances of Telkom allowing custom QoS rules for their customers? For instance if customers need to give some ports priority over other ports?
The QoS rules are mainly not port-based, but application-based.

What would you want changed?
 
Hit FUP Level 1 at 185gb on SmartHome Unlimted 4mbps uncapped. So that's at least 5-6gb of data usage allowed per day without getting throttled between 7pm-9pm.

180GB sounds about right. what your calculation does not take into consideration is the 360GB of nightsurfer traffic a month (~12GB/day) that does not count towards you FUP.

I did not include the Night Surfer in that 185gb. I think you can go another 90gb until you reach FUP Level 2 which is still good value for those with family etc at home during working hours.
 
FUP doesnt really mean much theses days. Telkom is still going to randomly throttle you and blame it on your "line"/
 
Suddenly synching at less than quarter speed after a random disconnection period. Either Telkom's box blew up in the storm or there's some serious nonsense suddenly being done to my line by Telkom.

Lol same here. At about 11.30 my line dropped. Came on about 5 minutes later only syncing at 1023kbps instead of 10000kbps. Then it died shortly after that. Hasn’t come on since...
 
Then it was fine again after disconnecting and then later reconnecting for a while. But now after another storm I'm suddenly synching at less than halfspeed again.....
 
Does everything come with Night surfer now? Obviously my ADSL has it but I just checked and my IDS has it as well.

The 1gb bundle I purchased on the 1st also has it.

For the last week or 2, the Telkom Internet usage page has also shown night-surfer data for my IDS.

There has been no correspondence from Telkom on this regard.

Seems you can also top up the IDS now, and at very favourable rates.

20MB Fibre se po*s!!! Nothing works only freaking Speedtests. This service is so ****ty that it only works when it feels like it.

Was like this since the launch of TI Mobile (but it's not unlimited like it is for fixed NightSurfer).

Seems you can also top up the IDS now, and at very favourable rates.

TopUp was available since the TI Mobile data launched, but the rates do look a bit better than I remember.

(separate pricing of mobile data for IDS vs not was done for the "IDS as a product" launch, but that's not what you"re using here ...).
 
Anyone else in Durban or SA getting an insane amount of disconnects?
