Uncapped has it's limitations. If you want full speed at any time of the day, on all protocols, then capped is by far the better choice.
 
Some people who are complaining that some MyBB forumites are complaining that enough is never enough need to understand what the internet nowadays entails.With out plagiarizing....http://companies.mybroadband.co.za/...h internet experience what you are giving us.

Better, but WHY is 1GB Acc still 1GB ? Make it 2GB or something for he_ven's sake. Telkom ALWAYS leaves out the bottom end of subscribers from upgrades. How long has 384k been 384k? Seriously. 1GB and 384k are NOT broadband !!!!!! Especially not if Telkom wants to bring out 20/40Mbps. It's clearly HIGH time they upgrade that 384k nonsense to AT LEAST 1Mbps. COme on now Telkom, Can't we try make SA a place worth wanting to live in ???

This coming from a 10Mbps/20GB subscriber. I don't have 384k or 1GB, I'm complaining on behalf of the people who do suffer with it

I see you're passionate about that 1GB. They can pay R20 more and get 5GB. Telkom keep it for the people that insist they won't be able to use more than 1 like my aunt that downgraded against my recommendations. Now I have the R20 thing to convince her to go back to 5 (if I visit I need a bit of bandwidth :D).

Because for 50 Euros I can grab myself a 1000/1000 uncapped fiber line, idiot.
 
What good is 1GB if you cannot use it up on a 4mbps line syncing at 4mbps because of exchange congestion !!!

That's why I am on Cell C. Telkom are incompetent idiots !

Of course, that's completely valid and understandable. The point I was trying to get across was how silly it seems in light of Telkom planning to roll out 20/40Mbps FTTC/VDSL? Either the infrastructure is ready for those speeds, or we won't be seeing anything more than 10Mbps for another 10 years. Just seems a bit paradoxical, but they may have logistical reasons for that at the moment - perhaps they haven't completed the newer infrastructure roll-out yet. With WACS, ACE, and SAex around the corner, I've been sure that something good has to come, so seeing 384k sticking around for now despite another DSL upgrade announcement...? Well I think you'd be abnormal not to receive that as a stab of despondency... but alas, *deep breath* let's be grateful for what we just received (rather than nothing), and wait and see what the future brings ;)

You calling me a granny :D Ok fair enough, but some people use more than others, I have only used 12 gb of my 16gb this month (mostly gaming, don't really download HD movies that often). And 20gb compared to a year or two ago where we only had 5 to 9 gb.. is a huge improvement at no extra cost.

Strides in the right direction Telkom. Thanks! I am very impressed with your uncapped service. I am using it to the hilt most of the time and it is holding up! :D

Compliments where it is due. Some things you still need to sharpen up include:

- bandwidth managment interface
- package management online etc.

But you are on the mend.

Oh and please keep the IRENE MALL Telkom branch a full service Telkom shop! It rocks! Hehehheehe! Honestly! Don't scale it down!

When we start getting to the 50 gig range I will consider telkom but I am pretty sure I burn more than 20 gigabytes on steam alone.
