EDiT: Did some more testing, this only appears to be the problem when trying to order an uncapped account but bundles and capped products work.

This is to the guys who handle the ordering portal that is currently not working for me :p.

The following error shows up and i will explain below what steps i follow to better understand. It is no secret that it hasn't be working for a long time so i thought it is time to get it noticed in a much larger way :p.

500 Internal Server Error

Servlet error: An exception occurred. The current application deployment descriptors do not allow for including it in this response. Please consult the application log for details.

So the steps are as follows:

*Login to residential.telkom.co.za portal at the top right-hand side
*choose my uncapped package to order which proceeds to ask for access line no and image verification.
*next page shows that speed etc is fine however, after clicking on NEXT, it bombs to the above screen with nowhere to input confirmation of ordering or any other details that will be needed.

As far as browser used, have tried on IE 9, FF, WFox, Chrome with all yielding the same thing.

I should mention that my Telkom Account is already linked to my profile for paying or reviewing payments etc.

Am very grateful for the amount of issues that have been resolved recently "tips hat" but i also want to give you guys some business "sneaks away quitely"

Anyone else that is also experiencing issues, post here please.

This post will be edited once we get some updates. Thread title is there for any future issues that may also arise :O.

Wasted half hour with Nikki(?) at 10210 last Friday trying to upgrade my 2Mbs Uncapped to 4Mbs (I have a 6Mbs line) because the Order Portal does not cover this - the Axxess website is awesome in this regard.

Eventually gave up with Nikki and sorted it out at my local Telkom Direct - Ranger mentioned his team provided this function to the TD shops at beginning of Febuary.

Telkoms in-house jargon for up/downgrading your uncapped is "Migrate" and once the Telkom lass and I figured this out it was a piece of cake, got the upgrade SMS in the shop :)

Ahh, atleast a happy ending

If the TD Shops have it, i hope we see it soon on the internet portal as i also need to do an upgrade :).

We provide an API the Telkom ordering system can use to create/upgrade/cancel internet accounts real-time. We aren't involved in any of the other aspects.

There was supposed to be training and business process documentation supplied for this change back in November or so ...

Currently the internet portal can't actually order anything, AFAIK it just captures an 'opportunity'. This applies to things on the POTS side just as much as to us. I believe our APIs should handle online ordering and fulfillment, but upgrades of the portal are a way off (and out of our sphere of influence).

@ranger, thanks for the info so atleast we know more about it. Just keep us updated on whether they can fix the issue in the OP please :).
