Telkom Internet Softcap Feedback

Anyone else on this deal ? Do premium R699 + 25 % discount for 12 months. That is around R525.00 if I work out correctly. For me its been 3 months now with not 1 month correctly billed. Phoned telkom so many times now not fun. Just curious if anyone have similar problems and if so did you get it resolved ? 1 other forumite confirmed same problems via pm :)

Charl's still around, he responded to a couple of threads under the TelkomZA moniker yesterday and I was chatting with him via PM a couple of weeks back.

Thank you for the tip got hold of telkomsa/hellotelkom via twitter my dispute got accepted after being logged a month ago. Definitely recommend to anyone with issues. Lets just hope my billing is fixed and not just for next month.

Hello, just want know if something is wrong my friend complained is downloads was going slow so i looked at it and in the router it says link rate is 2459kbps but he has a 10 mb line so what can be wrong must i restart the router..
 
If you had alot of rain, could be causing an issue but to be honest, alot of things can cause this.

Best to contact Telkom using their social channels, TelkomZA here, @TelkomZA on Twitter or their Facebook page. Another option [free sms] is send the dsl line number to 30591 and choose the appropriate response. You will get a reference number. Only use one of these as they will each pickup having an issue reported :).

10gb was tough but survivable due to free fnb uncapped.

Now I have 10+10gb it's gonna be a lot less pain :)
 
Ping to dota 2 served on telkom was 330ms last night. Switched to wa trial account and it was 50ms. Please sort out these issues Telkom!

I heard there was a break in one of the international cables which affects all ISPs.
 
Nope. Zero downtime on MWEB, couple others too I'm sure. Vox I'd imagine.
My internet generally speaking has been fine, but connecting to some game related servers (battle.net, Steam, Uplay) have all been touch and go trying Telkom, FNB Connect & Axxess accounts. Would have pegged it being a problem specific to me until a friend mentioned the cable break. Google tells me very little on any current cable breaks, however.
