Yep. I'm paying R344pm for Line and ISP from TI. I would have been paying R525pm for 4MB, which is what they signed me up for, but it turned out that my exchange didn't support it, so I got moved back to 2MB, and still qualified for the 25% discount as long as I signed up for 12 months.
 
So I just did the 25% discount thing..... I'm confused a bit thought..... I am paying R699 for the bundle and she said I will be saving R109 a month because of this adsl line contract for 12 months.....

Does that mean I pay R590 for 4Mb uncapped and 4Mb line?


Not a bad price at all......

You got the same deal as me, other guys are paying R525 becoz they got 25% off the uncapped as well as the line. I tried 4 times to get the uncapped discount but they said it only applies to the 4MB line rental. You still need to add R148 on for the voice line rental, so your bill will be R748. So I think that girl got her sums wrong by arriving at R699....

But still R748 is a killer deal that no other isp can match

How did they get that? I joined Telkom uncapped the day they launched it...... :-(

^ This. Just remember you'll be committed to them for 12 months, which reflects on your bill. I know a lot of people are sceptical about long term contracts, but if you want to save some cash, it's the best deal out there.

my 4 meg uncapped is R677.

Dude if they turn you down just phone again and speak to upgrades. tell them a friend told u about a 25% discount if you agree to 1 year contract and if you upgrade.

But who else are you gonna get your ADSL line from anyway right? WIN-WIN situation if you ask me

Ay I tried that 4 times and each time I was told that theres no discount on the uncapped. So I just left it at that since its still a sweet deal.
 
I stream hulu and netflix everyday, but hardly do other downloads beside game updates. do like 150gb per month on 4mb uncapped TI. Happy as a pig in #$#$ :D

:wtf:Cancel = you pay a fee

:)Downgrade = free and you keep discount NB all services need to still be with Telkom ie line rental, adsl rental and ISP service. Can use other ISP's on lne.

:whistle:Move = You still have to take service at new residence and free cancellation only allowed if Telkom can not provide ADSL ( I found out this as Im moving end of year), I can also freeze account after move for few months till I find the place Im looking for.
 
Telkom just broke again in Natal. 358ms to local servers. 0.86mbps on 10mbps account. Stop fiddling with your lines, Telkom :(

Edit: it's not just Telkom, same problem on Mweb and Afrihost.
