Telkom Internet Uncapped User Feedback.

I have come to a point where I now hardly use my internet over weekends. During the weeks it runs fine until around 17H30/18H00 after which it degrades up to around 23H00 from where its usually back to normal.

Weekends the same thing, Saturdays and Sundays the speeds are so pathetic that it is just not worthwhile to try and do anything.
The contention ratio in my area must be 100 to 1 if you ask me. I have never seen 4Meg speeds even though I've been on it for more than 3 months now. Moving house end of this months and have now decided that Telkom will not be part of my 'new life'. Just not worth the headaches and increased blood pressure.

Im not sure how this works, are the exchanges connected to the IPC directly? Is there an IPC in Bellville?

interwebs for the past 4 days has been dead slow with high pings.This seem to start from 17:00 to just after 22:00
My afrihost account has no issues.full line speed on everything.Ill assume there is something up with TI

These problems come up so often with TI it's like their version of Mweb's "Seacom".

Wish they would just be transparent and let us know what work is being done or what the problems are.

Communication is key.
 
Fine here in southern cape. Streaming a 360p stream, a 720p stream, a couple of torrents and an nzb, as well as a bit of browsing, all concurrently. Happiness!
 
Is it only me, or does the usage tracker seems to be much further compared to same data usage for the last couple of months?

I say normal as 2.9 is about the max I ever get on this 4Meg line....
