Odd ping to london is 1000 plus - ping to Boston US is the normal 345 which is a normal ping. So is the problem UK based?

There is no point testing a capped account if you are planning to get an uncapped account. It's a completely different service with different routing etc (to lower cost)
The current problem everyone is discussing is happening on both capped and uncapped though so the current performance is not a good indicator.
If you want my advice go with a different ISP. Even if it costs you a bit more.
You wrong, I am on a capped account and it runs identical to the uncapped accounts. Its no better at all.

Running just fine here now.

I'm getting horrid performance on my 2mbit connection. To a local Cape Town server I'm getting: 656 ms ping, 0.14Mb/s down and 0.26 Mb/s up. Results are about the same when i tried a London server.

Anyone know the reason for this? Two weeks ago I could watch 480p Youtube videos no problem, now it buffers on 240p. Streams on twitch were great, now it doesn't even load. This is really disappointing. I had that taste of somewhat decent internet, now it's gone :(

Forgot to mention that I'm in PE.

@The_Imp_ZA I'm also getting horrid performance,i was just on the line with telkom and they said nothing is wrong on their side so i should just wait it out...this started a few hours ago when my friends came over, and no,it's not throttling...

Been getting considerably worse for me for about a week now. Thanks for the info :)

I've been trying to get hold of emergency services, 112 doesn't answer, and can't google **** with Telkom. So, in my kindest possible voice, **** you Telkom.

The last week Internet has been all over the place.

Just quit Guild Wars as the lag was so bad I coulf not play, 13 - 15 second skill lag, rubber banding all over the place ...

1mb TI uncapped - not yet upgraded to 2mb - hope things improve when upgrade happens, otherwise not going to bother upgrading to 4mb line ...

Things looking good for me the last few hours. Have been streaming 1080p like a mofo. Have to catch up on all the shows we missed before the interwebs goes belly up again.
