wow, so many issues, and I was thinking of joining TI on the 10MB uncapped package in a few months...really having second thoughts now

So many issues? You mean so many posts by a few users with an issue? Remember that most users without issues do not post about it ...

Thats true, didn't mean to come off offensive, wasn't my intention, looking for a new ISP, thought of TI, mainly because blunt was raving about it...still undecided though...

Plus, with what i am paying now, i can afford the 10mb uncapped at a cheaper price than my current ISP connection

I'm a small green bar about 1cm on titracker and my torrent is around 30kb/s

Not all torrents are created equal, I'm maxing out at my preset limit of 225kB/s (Transmission on Fedora Linux 4Mbps uncapped)

Oh and browsing etc is running fine :)

Yeah torrents are not like shaped at all for me. usenet and p2p get max speed on private torrent sites during the day....

I actually like using bitcomet on public torrents because of the LT seeds [long term seeder] and the emule plugin too. Speeds up downloads quit good hey. Works well on public torrents.

Yeah as MickeyD suggested I tried a different torrent and it works fine. Strange because it has a very healthy seed ratio.

@Pooky - glad you sorted - MickeyD is the man :D.

@roguemat - that is pretty sweet, forget what i said before :p

Torrents and UseNet both max out my line, but I still struggle to stream from youtube.

That is a problem with Youtube caching. Google, there is a command you run that will fix that by blocking some of the caching sites.

I have a 2MB uncapped account, below are the results of a speedtest I did this morning. I just wanna know if this is "normal". The upload speed is lower than what I would achieve with other ISP's.

Test conducted on Tuesday, May 07, 2013 10:31:37 AM

Download Speed: 1689 kbps (211.1 KB/sec transfer rate)

Upload Speed: 296 kbps (37 KB/sec transfer rate)

Latency: 44 ms

I will say that TI has been the best performing ISP I've used so far. Daytime downloads almost always over 200kbps ::)

I upgraded from Telkom Internet capped to uncapped on the 2nd of May, however since that day video streaming is giving problems, YouTube and Ster Kinekor both at low quality.... In the afternoon and evening it keeps getting stuck on streaming.... Telkom support said that everything is fine with my line and since my speed test results are fine they cant log a call....

So far not impressed with the product... youtube is unusable at peak times...

So far not impressed with your lack of reading this thread.

I think I found a a solution to cr*p YouTube streaming.

1. click the vid you want to watch
2. change www.youtube.com/blahblahblah to ca.youtube.com/blahblahblah (ie just delete the www in the url and add ca)
3. YouTube happiness

Every 720p vid I tried streamed perfectly, and so did most 1080p
