Hesitant to continue, should I downgrade my line to 1mb/s, or should I believe what my router is telling me?

Maybe run a speedtest. than you will know what product you are on. I dont think that site is regularly updated nor is it accurate

And I bet if you phone them thrill say they did send a notification.
 
Not sure if I'm supposed to get emails at my username somewhere. They have my cell number and Gmail. Too much to expect them to know that I suppose...

Checking my logs it seems most download protocols went to sleep between 16:00 & 18:00 on Sunday and then returned to normal.

Everything seems fine this morning, sitting on green having done about 190GB on 4Mbps this month.
 
I cant get an accurate result on uTorrent of what i've doen this month, as i have un-installed and re-installed uTorrent atleast 5 times this month thinking it might e the version of uTorrent i had that was faulty, and also like a ninja trying to get away from the throttling by re installing a fresh copy of uTorrent.... Any ideas on another way i can check my total up and download for the month?

So, despite the apparent throttling/slow speeds yesterday I ended up using ~9GB where I usually do around 11.5GB per day.

Interesting stuff to keep track of. I'm at the far right of the red zone now- I'll check speeds when home again this evening- see if the hardware upgrade has completed or if I'm throttled.
 
My adsl usage still shows green yet I am only getting speeds of around 20KB/s. I am in the northern suburbs, Cape Town. Anyone know what it could be?

Edit: 1meg line.
Edit again: On the telkom tracker it shows red. But it also states that because I am on a uncapped package the usage tracking is not applicable to me. This is complete bull****!!!

Fired up my Aus/NZ soap torrents and the speed is terrible on TI uncapped, the same torrents on my TI capped account run fine.

I'll monitor and report back if speeds improve.

Edit: Sods Law - uncapped has improved but speeds are very variable.
 
I have done 300GB so far and the TiTracker bar is at about 50%, still green. 10Mb Uncapped. Maybe we should dedicate a new thread to trying to figure out if TiTracker / Usage / Shaping actually have anything to do with each other.

Can do in here, but for each linespeed.

I'm 1Mbps and fully red at 130GB.

Not sure if throttled due to Cape Town maintenance which seems to be affecting others with less usage too...
 
Im on 1 meg uncapped and did 132 gigs last month on the 19th then line speed throttled to less than half .
im now on 109 gigs and in red but bar is not at the end .
speed still ok .

you cant trust the bar to move up gradualy was on Orange 4 a week insame place them went to red middle .

I agree, in March I went red without any adverse impact on performance on about 300GB (4Mbps) when the bar seemed to be on about 85%.

For what's worth here's the bar graph for my TI capped on 98%:

... of course a bar graph needs a upper limit to reflect correctly which is what we've been asking for for a while now.
 
Most of my http downloads downloaded at full speed this morning. (423kB/s)

Edit:
I see that according to pingtest.com, I default to Umhlanga, instead of Cape Town.
Line quality is still good though. Obviously ping is a bit slower. (45ms)
Local = A and Intl = B
182ms too Maidenhead.
