I lost a hard drive with all my movies and downloaded a lot more that usual and Telkom in return is throttling my 4Mb line to max of 40kb/sec

When does throttling start? Once the bar is on max?
 
I have used 65GB on my newly upgraded 2Mbps line. Is this not perhaps a bit far on the line for 2Mbps?

I'm finding downloads out side of the free 00h00-06h00 are weighted much heavier this month, definitely. Almost in the orange.
 
Still flying as usual.

Just got off the phone with someone that actually knows what they're talking about and the ECR ports at both DSLAM's in my area are running at capacity.

I knew these speed bumps were going to cause major issues...

I'm basically stuck with a useless connection during the day now. Maybe I should make a case for paying half price seeing as my line only performs during ridiculous hours of the morning regardless of ISP.

I am not complaining, I abused my line and I am still happy with my telkom account.
Normally I do about 200gig a month so this was a once of abuse.

Yes I was going 24/7 and full speed during the month only got throttled yesterday.
And only news group downloads with sickbeard and couchpotato.
Having some issues with disconnects if it is raining but very happy with telkom internet.

Your service lately has been impeccable. P2P a bit on the slow side, however gaming and streaming are working perfectly (other than Twitch due to their servers).

Agreed!! Getting slight LAG on Xbox, but nothing crazy! Other than that, well done TI awesome work!

Im sure if I werent running my dl's on a schedule, & had a lot more stuff to download I'd get about the same usage, my 4meg line's been going strong with NZB's with nextgen news as my news provider.

Looks like I'm being shaped badly (and P2P completely stopped). At least I could play online the whole evening with no problems

We were informed of maintenance on an IPC link in Gauteng for the early morning of 19 Dec. I was busy with some other maintenance, and at 00h40 *two* IPC links went down, instead of just the one we were expecting.

Due to other planning for the maintenance I did, short notice for the planned work on the IPC link, staff on leave, end-of-year rush on projects, it was decided not to send a notification for maintenance on one link, which is normally not too noticeable during the wee hours.
