Don't know if it is just me tonight but Netflix went kaputs and streaming 240p :D Dexter, one time i choose to catchup and this happens.

I would however say that SuperHD works great (earlier) when testing. I know Ti does not support "officially" but it can still be treated as a site that is not working right if reported by multiple users.

Tested with both UnoDns and Unblock-US.

Was totally fine earlier today. Hope my GTAO experience isn't hampered tonight when i play with my friends :p.

But big ups to the Telkom chaps for holding the fort since the upgrade last January. It has been a wild ride :D. Heres to my 20Mbps upgrade soon (PM if still on track or any issues) ;-)

Sorry guys, my fault. Started 4 torrents before going to the pub earlier, got back watched jack reacher and afterwards noticed they are all complete. You guys should be good to go again :p :D
 
Streaming higher quality has been a pain since about 4PM for me. International traffic has slowed down in the latter part of the day for 2 days running now.

Seems I'm not the only one with international speed issues though, which is good because it will sorted quickly.
 
Even on my 4mbps line I've never had issues with Hulu or Netflix on TI. Now that I have a 10Mbps line it is much better though as I'm able to maintain a constant HD stream on Netflix apart from last night when streaming and all international traffic was broken. Everything's back to normal again.

I would, however, say that my best streaming experience was with Afrihost Business Uncapped. Waiting for things to improve over at Afrihost before I go back.

Which service do you use to watch netflix&hulu?
 
Anyone on here having trouble logging into SAIX to check usage?
I can login to the Telkom usage tracker but not SAIX.
 
Good people, please could you share your experience with downloading torrents. Having signed up for the 4Mbps uncapped product last Wednesday I have noticed that I cannot download a single torrent; ubuntu or otherwise. I expected it to improve on the weekend, but only at 10PM last night did things return to downloading at 300kb/s.

So, is TI completely throttling torrents during the day, i.e. 0Kb/s? Can I expect the situation to improve?

(its worth mentioning that news is going like an Airbus)

You can forget about torrents during the day, NZB's work all the time at line speed though... I doubt it will improve its been like this for 2 months now.

Dunno your location but my daily 2GBs of soaps which run between 08:00 - 12:00 have been running fine for the past 2 months here in PE.

I've noticed international problems since Sat but that's not only limited to torrents or TI.

TBH my News is not hey, my speed during the day is approx 1.8Mbps (and this is on a 10Mb Nextgen news server that i paid for, not even the SAIX server, so it cant be the server being shaped) and then (according to network monitor tool) i get my full speed between 2am - 7am, which is 436Kbps on News or otherwise, ive logged a fault with TI and sent test results and fault to TelkomZA on Saturday, awaiting a response now, my latency is (JHB) about +-70ms but (international) +-200+ms so forget XBL, i get games and stuff, you know how annoying it is playing sqauds "Safeguard" with that kind of latency, shooting the d@m bots, like 10 times and they still manage to stab you!! SUX!!!

TI tried resetting my port on Friday night, and then again Saturday morning, but nothing, still not getting my 4Mbps speeds... I hope they can fix it and soon!

My downloads, since they on a schedule, from 11am to 6am, they get done at least, but i need my line performing properly 24/7 TI, help me out here, im trying to game a bit here....

On my last few tests last night, my international speeds were on average about 0.2mbps down, 0.3mbps up, with a latency of about 300ms...

TI tried resetting my port on Friday night, and then again Saturday morning, but nothing, still not getting my 4Mbps speeds... I hope they can fix it and soon!

TI also reset my port twice over the weekend, then eventually said there might be some interference on the line, which they're coming to fix today. But from what everyone's posting it seems like the problem might be bigger than some congestion...?

Agreed, i hope somebody comes out soon to have a look at my line, because i've actually been very happy with TI for the past couple months and especially happy since the free upgrade, and i decided to choose this month to get back into gaming and thought i'd try if out over this period and purchased a Gold account, and since im not getting the best experience because of my line issues... So please TI, help me out here...

:confused: Gold accounts usually refer to Openweb, shouldn't you be taking up your line issues in the TelkomZA thread as opposed to this TI ISP thread?

im referring to an Xbox Live gold accounts (can only play on line if you purchased 1 of these), my ISP is TI on a 4Meg uncapped....

Honestly, im not really trying to address the issue here, i've already logged the fault, and sent the details via PM to TelkomZA, im merely just stating my issue - if it so happens that @ranger or @telkomZA have a look at this thread and address it quicker so be it, if not... Oh well! but thankfully i am a very patient guy - might be because of all the blazing :p who knows? but i'll wait for TI to get back to me regarding my line issue :D ...

OK, not a gamer so I've learnt something, prior to your post I generally associated gaming with Openweb Gold :o
