Same issue here guys... Ping on LoL Europe West server 500-600ms where I usually got 170-220ms. Very frustrating! Please telkom fix this issue, and it only lies with you guys because my friend's openweb works just fine.
Ohh and one more thing. Please fix the speed issue, especially at night. We have 4meg and the speed drops sometimes during the day and drastically at night.

Are others people still having gaming ping problems? For the last two evenings I couldn't play DayZ, the pings are erratic ranging anywhere ~50-400 on TI 2mb uncapped....

I have to use another ISP account if I want to play.

Has anyone had any success with TelkomZA? I feel like surely they must know about the problem but they just don't want to keep us informed about it.

They do, many of us, including myself, has told them that the routing is *****ed after it hit the drop point in London, all they have to do is change the routing to not go through that specific network which might be the "quickest" way to route.

Telkom doesn't care what you do or say as long as they get their $$$

I think it would be wiser to turn your PC off then wait till the morning so you can restart your router without cancelling your +/- 400MiB downloaded by 6AM...

My latency on my TI 4Mbps uncapped account, is pathetic! Over 200ms to a local server here in CPT, but everything's fine on my free 1GB Afrihost account. What's going on, Telkom? @ranger @TelkomZA

If you took the time to read a few posts up then you would have known that it is not the ISPs in this country causing the problem...

If you took the time to read you would see that many of us are reporting that TI latency is terrible and other ISP's are spot on.
So yes, it is ISP related.

Something strange happening here.
I'm getting full speed on Usenetbucket nzb downloads but get the follow results via speedtest;

This still makes no sense to me.
How can international traffic be so slow with such high pings but when I use an international news provider it still runs at full speed.

Played some Fifa 14 with a friend of mine last night and with my capped Telkom account I had either 1 red or 2 yellow bars ping which has never happened to me for a local connection before. Changed to my Afrihost capped account and got a perfect stable 3 green bars.

Something really strange is going on! Still no word from Telkom?

Edit:

I know that this thread is for Telkom uncapped but thought I'd let you know that I also seem to be having the issue on my capped account. And it was for a local connection.

Ping and speed tests didn't show any issues when I get home last night. CS:GO was a bit spikey at times, and browsing was sluggish.
