Telkom Internet Uncapped User Feedback.

It's pretty much clockwork. Starts at 9AM and ends at midnight 15 hours later.
Massive delay + throttled speeds
 
Thought it was maybe telia.net, whoever they are, as that's where the big spike comes from in the traceroute.. but a ping from my afrihost account proved that wrong..

Really ****ty speed and latency lately on international servers. Telkom Internet is my isp. Please fix this ASAP, because i can't do gaming like LoL and WoW etc. This is bull****, all my friends on other isp's do not have this problem, ohh and we have a 4meg line.

Wow! The weirdest thing just happened. Just like everyone else here on TI I've been having trouble with international connections, yesterday (before I found this thread), I logged an internet fault with Telkom. Now they just called me and said that there's a fault on their side and they are sending out a technician :O

If you took the time to read you would see that many of us are reporting that TI latency is terrible and other ISP's are spot on.
So yes, it is ISP related.

Read again, I said that it is not the ISPs in THIS country with an issue, I did not say that it is not an ISP issue. If this was a simple matter of routing traffic I suppose it would have been sorted by now seeing that Telkom knows about the problem. At this stage it seems more like problematic hardware in which case it probably does not even belong to Telkom as it is in London, but hey, what do I know when this forum is full of people able to use cmd and ping.

That would be all fine if it weren't affecting local connections as well.

Don't be lazy.

But in all honesty, I think Telkom have specifically targeted your Starcraft game.
Best disconnect for a while until you get a clue.

Anyone got any form of idea as to how long telkom would take with this issue?
 
Well I have officially jumped ship. Going to see what is out there on the market. Been good while it lasted.

PS: Unlike other reports the Telkom Internet cancellation process for me at least carries a one month notice period.
 
Looks like I'm in the same boat as the rest of you fellas now, things went pear shaped a bit earlier on :cry:
