I'm a high bandwidth user but even I have got to the point that there's minimal I need now.
Humble bundles I never download everything.
I just leave it in my Steam library.

Not trying to argue anything here, I just don't understand such heavy usage in such a short time.

I just let it download, don't know when I will get a chance to actually play with my schedule so rather have the download ready and if I get a gap enjoy a game or two.

I dont quite either but i suppose everyone is different. I've hit my ceiling at about 160/180GB's on a 4Mbps line. I cant imagine doing much over 200GB's even if i had a 20Mbps line.

I have an Full HD projector and Cinema room setup, so all my downloads are 1080p, that starts eating bandwidth quickly.

That is a valid point.
That's 10gb a movie sometimes.

Lord of the rings extended edition, 43GB's per movie :D

Ok that was an exception, but series are generally 1.9GB per episode, it adds up really quickly.

I would get another 10mbps line but I had sync issues so was only getting stable 5mpbs. So rather stay on 4mbps but get a better quality account.

I used to think twice about downloading anything that wasn't under a megabyte when I had dial-up.

"No one will need more than 637 kB of memory for a personal computer" - Bill Gates.

"I will never play James Bond again" - Sean Connery in 1971, who went on to make "Never say never again" playing Bond, in 1983.

:)

Just sayin'...

I know all that but until storing it becomes cheaper its pointless for me.

All the downloads are automated through couch potato and Sick beard, I never know when I will get a gap to watch so rather have the stuff downloaded and available then get to 9pm tonight and want to watch an episode and then it's not downloaded.

I know what series I watch, and line up movies via IMDB.

Better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it, greedy I guess :D

Storage will always be an issue, but drive prices are not all that bad.

Geez speeds today are pathetic!!! 20KBps DL from Microsoft.com

Cannot get through to the cancellations department, stay on hold for about 20 minutes then beep and call ends.

Seems like when they are having issues their cancellation department closes, lol

I had that problem yesterday. Then when I did go through I was on hold for over an hour

Well I hope they sort themselves out quickly.
I signed up for the R512, 2mb line special.
My new line is being installed tomorrow. Hope I'm not going to regret it.

The sooner they get all the 1mb lines "upgraded" to 2mb the sooner their problems will end, if it does end/improve when I get upgraded I will go for a 4mb upgrade ...

Just got my latest invoice emailed for an account that doesnt work... at least you know one department still works at Telkom.

TI will cancel your 4Mbps Uncapped when you phone them - it's killed when they hit cancel so you'll need something for the rest of Jan month. Depending on your billing cycle you'll probably still be billed for Feb on your next invoice with a credit being passed on the invoice after that.

Warning - do not short pay in anticipation of the credit, you could be cut-off.

Just so you know, cancellation has a 30 day notice period from the day of cancellation so it is not immediate, just went through the process.

Also contacted the accounts department who confirmed 30 days.
