... Trying to figure out how my 4Mb line (9GB cap) + 5GB (cap) + line rental ends being R842/m.

No idea but it looks about right - check your detailed billing breakdown.

I expect a Line rental + R413 (Fastest DSL 4096) + New 1Mb uncap package at ????

From my post: a + b + d + VAT (R362.28 + R122.78 + R323.68 + R113.22 = R921.96)

A 4Mb residential uncapped package does not exist and I won't bother quoting the business equivalent.

Can someone still explain to me, if I have a 4Mb line, implying speed of downloads, how does the 1Mb/uncapped work on op of this, what should I expect?

I thought I covered that in my first post, it will only run at 1Mb so you will be wasting money on your 4Mb line, downgrade to 1Mb if you are not going to be running capped accounts.

Ho do you switch between the packages, is there automated method, or is it manually going and changing your adsl account information on the switch.

I suggest you open a new thread for this. In short you need to do some reading on bridged mode for modems/routers (yours may not be capable) and PPPOE connections. There is plenty of info on this topic here on MyBB.

Anybody else having issues with PSN via wireless with the router they gave?

You know whats odd about Telkom Uncapped - you don't get the usually "outages" that other ISPs blame on Telkom.

ok, need to clarify something,

originally I had my line as per normal from Telkom, old days at 1Mb and then my Cap package via IS, and that was 2 payments, one to IS and one to Telkom.

I then changed to a combined package at Telkom, at the time it was still a 1Mb line + Cap package. Since then I've upgraded my line up to 4Mb, which at the time included a upgraded Cap package to 9GB.

The 2 was disconnected from each other... So after having read the uncap pricing etc least couple of days I'm thinking it might be month worth to keep my line at 4Mb through Telkom and then do my uncap data bundle through another like Mweb (I know Mweb throttles they uncap package to run at max 1Mb). (ye I can downgrade my Telkom line speed to 1Mbit and stay with Telkom, but then when they decide to upgrade all the 4Mb clients to 10 Mbit I'll not be considered since I'll be on 1Mb and not the 4Mb package anymore, and well people don't seem to be able to comprehend I want to leave my line speed at 4Mb but have the 1Mb/uncap package...

The guys xrapipdx, you've done 200GB, did you do this using a download manager, downloading only over night? assuming you got the 1Mb/uncap package?

And what speed are you referring to as flying,

where do you normally download from?

G
1Mbps Uncapped account on a 1Mbps line. NZBs and international sites. DL's between 90-100kB/s any time of the day - seems that TI are not throttling traffic yet. They do not shape traffic.

Total bill / month, breakdown please.

Damm wish I can make up my mind, don't want to loose the 4Mb line (and potential 10Mb upgrade when exchange is made capable), very useful with some of the emails I get/scary attachments.

guess thats part of the issue, I don't download 24/7/30

I'm more nightly focused, so the higher speed is important for me, since I can then push it over night, otherwise I got to configure one of my machines lying around as a download server.

Thing is I haven't found lime wire for windows. It seems it was discontinued a while back.

That's so stupid, uTorrent clogfree, lightweight and better.
