Telkom is hurting

Unbelievable that a company with such good service, polite and efficient call centre, helpful staff and repair service with such speedy turnaround times would ever fail, what is this world coming to.

Telkom is hurting

Telkom has released its interim financial results for the six months ended 30 September 2018, which shows a big loss in fixed broadband subscribers.

Telkom’s fixed broadband subscribers declined from 999,311 in September 2017 to 974,181 in September 2018 – a year-on-year decline of 2.5%.

But, the f**kers are telling us we are being forced onto wireless telephones on Telkom Mobile due to too many cable theft and refuse to offer us access to broadband.

Okay MyBB, we get it, please stop publishing the same article with exactly the same content, we all know Telkom is losing subscribers, lets move on now.... Thanks.
No. They deserve all the exposure they get. You know, to remind prospective clients they're doing the wrong thing and helping them make better decisions, that sort of thing.

Errr… doesn't that 2,566,000 refer to mostly copper telephone lines and not fibre? Surely that is the normal erosion as they move more customers to fibre? Also, with revenue and profit up they're hardly "hurting".

Openserve taking their own sweet time in installing fibre

Can someone break down all the costs of having Telkom's ISP 4Mb/s fibre vs let's say Vumatel's

Mybb really seems to have it in for Telkom. If only they were the same towards dstv...

They will be hurting because of the corruption and theft within the company. The staff allow service providers to steal from the company because of the kickbacks that they receive. Top management is aware of the problem but they just turn a blind eye. We as the shareholders are affected by the theft but nobody cares. Seems to be the trend throughout SA

Well they would maybe not be losing so many customers if they actually dropped their prices. It's much more cost effective for me to use Fibre than ADSL.

If fibre is an option.

If you are on DSL then Telkom packages are the cheapest.
