Help!

I maxxed out my wifes Telkom cap at her office and so i loaded my Afrihost account to get them through the rest of her month. But the Telkom email is not working. Is this correct? Can you only collect telkom POP mail through a Telkom ISP account?

She's furious so any help much appreciated! :erm:

You have to set the SMPT server for outgoing mail AFAICR.

She should be able to receive email however you'll need to changed the smtp for outgoing to smtp.afrihost.co.za.

Why is she using telkom email anyway? Gmail ;)

"duh", cant believe i didnt try that! Thanks !!!!

Not possible unless you have an International proxy. That is the SA Dilema when using Gmail/Windows live.

Please someone .. find a way.. i always end up with this predicament every month..and i never remember to set up the forwarding..until it's too late.

A fatal combination

POP3 Server: dslmail.afrihost.co.za
SMTP Server: smtp.afrihost.co.za

POP3 Server

C:\>ping -a pop3.telkomsa.net

Pinging pop3.telkomsa.net [196.25.211.150] with 32 bytes of data:

C:\>ping -a mail.saix.net

Pinging mail.saix.net [196.43.2.142] with 32 bytes of data:

SMTP Server

C:\>ping -a smtp.telkomsa.net

Pinging smtp.telkomsa.net [196.25.211.150] with 32 bytes of data:

C:\>ping -a smtp.saix.net

You takes your pics --and then you test them.

I always just use the IP -- saves on when the DNS is going wonky
