Is there an actual way to fix the AC3 problem on plex running through the LIT Box. Most HD files have AC3 and I am sick of watching SD as a means to bypass the AC3 errors.

Try installing Kodi, and use the addon Plex for Kodi.

What is the error? But cant you just turn off passthrough under advanced settings?

Try installing Kodi, and use the addon Plex for Kodi.

This is also the only way I got it working.

Yeah I use it as my backup when Plex itself doesn't work.

Ive tried with Kodi and Plex app, but i still get that annoying AC3 error.
If i use Plex on samsung tv works perfectly. There is no error message, no sound comes through, but then if i change stream quality to a lower one works fine

It sucks cause i dont like using plex through kodi.

Which part do you need help with? Its the very first icon (left) under advanced settings. Called "Passthrough". Just make sure its disabled.

Still doesn't play. Checked it disabled...still refuses to play...have to downscale file then sound starts

From my previous post, try it.

Ok, I think I have found why Live TV doesn't always show up in DSTV Now.

Goto "Settings" of device, then to "Home Screen", and then to "Recommendations Row" and disable DSTV Now recommendations.

Then you can press and hold HOME button to bring up running apps, kill DSTV Now if running, and then launch DSTV Now.

No, this is the standard IR replacement. No USB dongle or airmouse.
