Telkom LIT Android media box - Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

I see Telkom website contradicts itself on Netflix on this device. Confirm if it has Netflix?

It works just fine for me. Android TV games on the Play store all seems to support the XB360 controllers just fine.

Does it support Dolby TrueHD, Atmos, DTS HD Master audio pass through on the hdmi?

I've only had normal DTS and DD work. For the others, in Kodi I have to say not supported and transcode to DD real time to get 5.1 on HDMI.
 
By default, I’m using the wireless with the windows receiver . Do you have the same setup. In Modern Combat, the soldier just pans around without stopping. Nothing else is working. :(

That's not an Android TV game right? Not many normal Android games properly support gamepads. But Android TV ones does as far as my experience go..
 
Did anybody have issues with the streaming reducing your normal cap? I have a smartbroadband 50GB contract and got the box with it, but the LIT service is not activated on my smartbroadband account. This was confirmed by the telkom call centre but according to them they cannot do the activation I have to do it by using the *180# USSD. The problem is that following that route the only LIT option is a 31day 50GB bundle for R229.

How do I activate this service and why would Telkom not have activated it when they sent me the box itself?

Rather call telkom.. 180.. They can activate it for u.

Most of us here have uncapped data
 
Hi. Does anyone know where to get the A07 lit box?
I have tried 5 telkom stores in JHB east area and they only have the A06 models.

Telkom Galleria mall in Amazimtoti did not want to replace a 3 day old faulty LIT box, apparently they have to send it in for repair, even though its within the 7 day out of box failure time... 21 days later and they cannot assist as to when im getting the item back, even Telkom Social media cant assist but stating the store must advise, and the store is of no assistance besides having to wait hours for assistance... definitely a breach of CPA here but Telkom is adamant the item needs a repair...

Definitely a breach of CPA. They only allowed to test the box to confirm that it is faulty and not caused by the user. You also get 6 months not 7 days
 
Someone mentioned they know how to stream from an iPhone to the LitBox. Still awaitin instructions on the how

Thanks. I managed to get one at Telkom express shop in eastgate.
Sales assistant didn't want to sell the device without a contract but after speaking to the manager, he agreed.
 
Hi guys, any specific gamepad i must buy to work on the lit box?
