I have a question about Tidal. I downloaded and installed it from Google Play Store and when I try to login it gives me code, saying I should login to my Tidal account and then use that code to activate the device. I did that but I don't know where to enter that code. Does anyone know?

Quick question... Is there a way to choose my streaming quality for DSTV now? One of the guys said that because of it being a LIT box, everything is streamed at less than 480p and the settings tab is more minimal than on my phone app for example. I have no maximum video quality options like I do on my phone app. Is there a way to bypass this limitation and get hd ?
Thanks

Don't know - but I seem to be getting HD streams on my LIT box for DSTV.

Problem is the HD channels say HD , but are not broadcasting in 720p at all(as far as I understand dstv hd is 720p)

The one technical guy at Bayside Mall said that lit unlimited streaming specials are set at 360p. So even if another ISP is used it will stream at 360p.this can also be seen on YOUTUBE, no settings for better resolution. Anyone know a workaround to this?

My LIT definitely does youtube at 1080p. It would do 4k as well, if I had a 4k TV.

Bull**** with the YouTube. Yes there is not settings, but look, it auto selects the best quality your connection can handle:

As for DSTV now, same thing. It will automatically stream the best quality your connection can handle (and the DSTV servers sadly). But most of the time, even if there no settings, I get HD on most sport channels and also on the mnet channel as an example.

Then why can the preloaded apps not be uninstalled completely and then reinstalled? They have made the versions specific to the LIT box(coding) im not trying to argue, but rather point out that there is a difference when I stream dstv now on lit box, versus casting to tv from phone. Phone around and you will be surprised the feedback from Telkom

I don't think you can expect Telkom helpdesk people to know a single accurate thing about this.

Was a physical person at Telkom with a Technical support badge and sounded like he knew exactly what I was talking about and confirmed what I asked. Was just asking here to confirm if anyone experiencing quality issues/differneces like I am. On a 2ms ping 50mbps dl 25mbps ul fibre line so no issues there. Can stream a 30min 4k video with no buffer while connected to a laptop downloading movies and three mobile devices.

He isn't that "technical" then, cause he is wrong.

No, you won't. Been there, done that and complained as well.

Then my device was broken or something, as I was unable to do 4K on youtube and Plex. I had the A06, sold it.

YouTube streams in hd 1080p and 4K if you have the speed and display.

This is the speedtest on my 3G/LTE at work. Some would say (myself included), that this is to slow for 4K streaming from youtube:

I also have a 1600x900 monitor connected to my PC at work:

Yes, I am still able to select 4K on youtube movies:

What am I missing? I wasn't able to do this on my LIT box, while it was connected to my Samsung 4K TV.
