Hi guys, Just want to know how much you really get charged for going over local cap with Telkom Internet as your ISP. So could everyone that has actually got billed with for exceeding local cap, please just put by how much you exceeded the limit by as well as how much you got billed for it. I would also like to know how much you have exceeded without getting billed.

I never got charged before for going over my local bandwidth..:mad:
Recently from July I got charge heavy.

I normally go over 3-5gigs Jan - march
Then increase it to 10-15gigs.

In July statement Got bill R15 per gig (384kbps line)
12.65gigs * R15 = R189

I Run a 4mbps at business
and Run a 384kbps at home.
Tried both and got charged heavy on my 4mbps line (I went 45gigs over and they charged R15per gig)*
Luckily they thought it was the phone bill or else.....

****Was a members fault telling me they will not charge if go over Bandwidth until reach 100gigs. Worked until July :D but since they drop the Price R25 > R15 , they started to charge.

Yup, from July they charging for every bit (literally) you go over, even if it is only 1MB you'll get charged. You get charged pro-rate, so 1MB will be like 1.5c.

Yeah, they are billing us now. I was charged R7.50 for going over by about 500MB.
 
Message for TELKOM BILLING

Telkoms billing system is STILL archaic

On DO -- get to end of "blended"

Normally what you have to do is go and top-up online using a credit card / Internet Banking etc etc

Please NOTE -- paying MORE money to the BANKS

When your cap runs out why not just pop up a page with a re-direct to a secure page --
Instead of having to pay online -- NOTE -- MORE money for banks
Just allow a normal Tellom client to fill in a form -- verify it by a password / email whatever.
Then just ADD the extra topup CAP onto the clients normal TELKOM BILL at the end of the month.

Easy for client * PLUS * VOLUNTARY opt in -- Easy for Telkom -- SAVE some money.

Easy peasy pie -- CUT the BANKS OUT

i can confirm they are charging. I went over 2.15gb and got charged R3x.xx, sux. I just canceled with them moved to axxess express, yay!
