Our Telkom LTE speeds are pathetic, and I can clearly see from the Speedtest results that something is not configured correctly, our upload speeds are much faster than the download, which is definitely not correct.

We have been using a Huawei B315 LTE Router, and I have also tried out the Huawei B618 Router, which is supposed to have better reach...proved quite the opposite actually.

Even though the light indicators on the front of the Huawei B315 router show full signal, we hardly ever connect at download speeds above 1mbps.

We do live in a somewhat remote area, where Fibre is not currently even an option, and basic cell phone reception is not great either. Based upon my previous ADSL experiences with Telkom in more central metropolitan areas, I doubt that the copper lines on this side of the world have been maintained at all.

Can anyone offer any advice?

Do you have an external antennae?

Are you able to login to the B315 and paste the signal statistics (RSRP, RSRQ, RSSI, SINR) here

Also make sure that B618 is the 65d version which works on Telkom and not the more common b618-22d that rain uses.

hello , i am experiencing a similar issue and my stats are as follows :

RSRP - -60dBm
SINR - 4dB
