Telkom LTE Smartbroadband Increase?

Good to hear that you are happy with the service. I wonder how many customers Telkom is going to lose after increasing the price of that package by 20%.

Cell C also tried to suddenly increase the prices of their Home Connecta Flexi bundles and many customers left. After two months they were forced to lower them again but I doubt that most of them will return.

Axxess haven't changed any pricing of their LTE products (nor Afrihost for that matter ; the 2 companies I watch most closely) since this latest round of Telkom increases.

Not yet ; if they do (significantly enough), I'd reconsider, how & where I get my data from, and it could result in going for that 250 GB + 50 GB, 10 Mbps / 4 Mbps / 2 Mbps option that's now R249 pm direct from Telkom.

Plus, maybe 5 + 5 GB MTN from Afrihost for R49 pm, for peak times, but that's a tall order to get through 30 days @ 5 hrs / day, these days.

You'll have to rely on someone here who has one or knows more, or see on YT if the settings are concentrated on when a review's carried out - you might've done so already.

@BCR and others I'm on the RAIN 5G Basic R529.00 package which guarantee speeds up to 30mb, I do get very good download speeds and streaming is also good.

Speed Test a moment ago:
Ping: 14ms
Download: 34.89Mbps
Upload: 0.89Mbps

Very good re download & ping, but I hope that upload speed doesn't prove to be a hindrance, even for basic things these days like WhatsApp voice calls - should be enough, but for video ?
