Telkom Makes me Happy Again

Hey guys,

So when I came Wednesday the 5th September home, I find my Internet is off. :confused:

So I check the usual like is the router on and that. So, I pick up my phone to call the ISP and ching, there is no dialtone. Now that is weird. :wtf:

So I grab the mobile and sms a fault log to Telkom and they reply back, my issue is handed over to the Tech Repair Centre. I was okay, maybe there are a fault then on the line.

After waiting 2hours twiddling my thumbs without Internet, I decided to make a call to 10210 and I get a message saying my fault has been logged and blah blah.

I waited for a Operator and asked the guy answering the phone that my Telephone is off and my Internet.

And hear the response from him: Mr Bxxxx, your Telkom cables have been stolen. I was like excuse me. Repeat that...
I asked then how long till the cables being replaced, he was like saying sorry sir, I don't know. Normally they take 4 to 6 weeks to replace cables. I was star struck at the thought without having Internet for 4 weeks. All that glorious 720p Porn I'm missing right now. :cry:

So, Today the 9th September I woke up and like I'm used to now, I pick up the phone and lo, still no dial tone.
I went to town and on my way back I see three Telkom Bakkies standing next to the road and working in the man hole. I was like starting to get happy, but then I was also thinking. Bleh, they prolly just upgrading all the other users and not fixing my line.

So come 14:00 and I pick up the phone and was shouting, yes bytches, their is dialtone. I switch on the router and behold. Facebook and MyBroadband is loading good.

To cut my story off now: I still have faith in Telkom and to not drag my fault. Thumbs up to the Telkom Technicians who spent their Saturday replacing stolen Telephone Cables and to make sure their clients is up and running. I salute you Telkom. :D:love:
 
Glad to hear that you are back up.

I have also been impressed with their service recently.
 
So, now you can surf again. That's like awesome. :)
Remember to check that they credit you for the down period.
