Telkom meeting regarding forum representative

One thing i know for a fact....If another company comes in, even with IDENTICAL prices to Telkom, i'll go for them....just to get rid of all the "Bullsh!t" talks about how they ( telkom ) are going to change this, and how they are going to change that,...etc...

Maybe we could get Steven White and Reuben September.. Steve is the chap who dreams up 'new' products with 3GB caps and Reuben is the Chief Operating Officer.

Congrats and Thank you to RPM and crew. Well Done!!

Anyways Steven White deserves to have a carrot shuved up his a**.
As for the Telkom Representative... I will give him the time of day. My personal deadline is 30 days. If after 30 days of communication with Telkom Rep, and there is no change but only promises... Then I will have no choice but to believe that this is all nonsense. Telkom do not deserve the right to all of a sudden have a chance to make nice with its customers.

They only doing it now because competition is knocking on their door. Anyways i'll go with this already flawed political move of theirs.. But I wont expect much.

In all honesty this entire exercise is a waste of time. If ICASA could not do anything from that ADSL Hearing... What makes you think Telkom are going to listen??? And the best part of it all is that all the issues are going to be repeated over and over again. You telling me Telkom dont already know the issues that need to be resolved???

Firstly, thanks to rpm and cara! Good job!

If Telkom wants clear communication then I cannot make it clearer than this:

1. CAP 2. SHAPING. 3. SPEED 4. PRICE
Secondly, milano, you got the order wrong. It should be:

1. PRICE (Way too expensive)
2. PRICE (Still way to expensive after the first round of a 25% decrease...)
3. PRICE (And then there still is the double rental charging of the line...)
4. SPEED (Current hardware allows for 2MBps easily!)
5. SHAPING (Abolish ALL shaping, but especially on VoIP)
6. PRICE (Still not comparative with international pricing)
7. CAP (I'm not into downloading pron anymore, so the cap isn't too bad :p, unless it's hard capped, then I'm really upset!)

What I dont understand is that Telkom from one hand say that they want to talk BUT is keeping abusing us as clients . THey know very well that this community is not happy about 1 November trick but they haven't kept it on hold to show good will . Talking to them is a waste of time and will be used as an umbrella to show that they are talking to clients.

Telkom can shove it up their a$$.
I would love to be all polite and friendly and say "give it a chance" but there is ZERO chance that it will accoumplish anything.
Anyone wanna bet that they aren't here to ask us what they should be doing, they are comming here to tell us WHY they are doing it, and try get us to comply or agree.
They have the added bonus of being able to say they tried to talk to us, and monitor what we are saying or planning.
Telkom does not wanna help us..they want to make money and prove we are a small group of radicals.
Well....I say don't let them. We are not a small group, we are not kids, and we are working on letting the public out there know what is really happening.
I am in an industry that is being shut down by the govt all the while they were talking to us and nodding their heads.
Same thing is happening here..and by saying they are talking to us, just gives them more time to implement everything until the fuss dies down.
Bring your "reps" here..but don't expect us to fake delight or go blindly along while you screw us.

Sorry...but reality gets in the way of my manners sometimes

My G@d, how complacent can we be. Suddenly now because Telkom wants to be on the forum, officially represented, all is OK. They have been here for a long time already, R Dahl were one of the many. and what has changed, NOTHING. What will this mean for us in future regards our mission NOTHING. Will they listen and reduce the broadband restrictions NO. They are laughing at YOU all. Read my lips, THIS IS A SMOKESCREEN, Telkom have no interest but to justify their methods and brainwash us with the reasons WHY! They do what they do. Like to make the system more reliable and better for all?, To penalizes “ABUSERS”, etc Alto I would like to be an optimist and give them the benefit of the doubt, their actions re 1 November does not deserve it. With all respect it should be shoved up their behinds until more positive action is seen. Up to now nothing is forthcoming from Icasa or Telkom regards to the blatant lying, treachery and defrauding of the broadband and telecom’s users

Im not disagreeing with you here pupa, but you must remember, there is a new CEO there... and If i may so so myself.. it almost feels like he has done more for us in the few months he's been there than $izwe did his whole reign. Im very far down the list to say good things about them, since they made me wait 91 days for a simple self installation :P

Ill be a optimist untill Telkom converts me... Nov 1 changes(*curses*) was already running havoc when he came in, im sure he cant just snap his fingers and change things, else he might just... we wont know...
Like I sed, lets just be optimistic, lets not show fingers around at the new people and see what the turnout is of all this...

Again, like i said in another post: "I hope i wont need to eat my words later"

Lets wait and see, shall we:confused:

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

I hope thats effective in this case

Thanks for all the effort rpm and cara. This is really going to be interesting.
