Hi,

This is the first time I'm buying Telkom data (last time they gave me in the shop).

I only want data for my SIM 2 - is this the best option?
This lasts 6 months ?

Try *123# on that sim, and go to the Mo'Nice option and see what comes up. Also, Telkom only data tends to be cheaper

What is that option now? :/

I'm a little concerned about patchy signal, so I'd rather pay a little more and be able to use other networks if need be

Like so:

I don't really have concerns with their coverage.

Edit: your options may also be different, depends on the SIM usage I think

I came here to ask the same question, their options are confusing.

I have the option to purchase a FreeMe 3GB bundle for R200 and an All Networks 3GB + 3GB for R201. Why would I buy the FreeMe one? Anyone know what the difference is?

Okay now I'm even more confused, I just used that Mo'Nice deal posted above and got 2GB for R25. wtf? Why is this all over the place?

Think of it as like a special offer based on your usage
It's actually a gamble/random, no confirmed pattern of proof that it's based on usage/expenditure.

I have 10 Telkom SIMs which have different offers, but from my experience, the first one i used and spent the most on, has lame offers now.

Telkom coverage only an issue for me when travelling long distance

Ah okay. Weird then. I've never had any different offers. Just the same ones all the time and they work for me (well, at least the R50 for 4,5gb)

Offers on all the SIMs haven't changed since July/August though

Just hoping for the night data 450GB/30 days/R59 bundle again

Keep in mind that the roll out of the roaming agreement with Vodacom started on the 1st so that won't be of concern for much longer (we hope).

In fact it won't be an option at all once their arrangement with MTN ends. From then on everything will be "Telkom only".

I hate their options !

What is the difference?
The 20GB is half the price?

R455.00ONCE OFF
SmartBroadband Wireless Prepaid 20GB
  • With the Double Data Promo you get:
  • 40 GB Anytime data
  • 40 GB Night Surfer data

With the Double data special the SmartBroadband Wireless Prepaid it's half the price and double the data.

Watch out. The 3GB+ 3GB all network bundle is actually 3GB anytime data and 3GB night time data.

Freeme comes with the music and lit video data bundles, telkom minutes and sms.

The Mo Nice are unbeatable and change from time to time. They offer pretty decent data and voice bundles. I would always recommend them first as they usually beat the FreeMe deals too.
