Telkom Mobile LTE A Port forwarding

Hi Guys,

Something I have been struggling with for a while now, Telkom representatives keep telling me that Telkom LTE A does not support port forwarding.
Is this really true ? I cannot believe that this size Telco. Company would not support Port Forwarding but others like Vodacom and Cell C do.
Similar experiences guys or solutions found ?

Have been doing it for quite a while. Presume you have the Huawei E5186 LTE-A router? Go to Settings->Security->Virtual Server

I have already setup the actual ports for forwarding, the router setup is not the issue. Telkom Mobile physically does not allow port forwarding though the APN.
Any Telkom Tech's on here ?

I wonder if this isnt why I was unable to forward ports a few months ago?
Im on telkom uncapped lte and also cell c prepaid

I have this issue and it makes sense that it's physically not possible. I even tried momentarily switching to the unrestricted APN as the setup of the virtual servers was solid.


I'm unable to play FIFA 19 online despite recently purchasing it for that particular reason.

You may want to give your router a solid reboot when changing APN and make sure your IP has changed from 197.xxx.xxx.xx or 102.xxx.xxx.xxx to 154.xxx.xxx.xx or 41.xxx.xxx.xxx.

Have had similar issues, the thing is some ports DO work when you forward them. Not sure if the game allows you to change the port it uses. Also make sure to disable your firewall or add rules for the ports in your firewall (if PC).
