SmartBroadband Wireless LTE 20GB
10GB Anytime data
10GB Telkom Night Surfer Data
At beggining of the month I get allocated data for the month.
This month July
Total GB = 30
Used GB = 8.97
GB Available = 21.03
On 30, June 2021 my data balance at end of the day:
Total GB = 30
Used GB = 25.68
GB Available = 4.32
My question is where the June balance of 4.32 GO.
Next question is what happen to the Data from the end of the day 30 June to at about 5:40 AM
of the 1 July.
Can any one give some light on this subject and what should I do.
Thank you
Are you getting your results from a *188# USSD code you send via SMS ?
Because they don't seem descriptive enough - have you perhaps taken them from a re-seller, such as Axxess, Afrihost, Web Africa etc. ?
If you can send - either from your smartphone or router, an SMS to *188#, you should get results with the following type of descriptions (ignore the figures below, they're just an example of something I posted in the forum, previously) :
a *188# USSD SMS gives me the following results :
Hello! You have 49102 MB "inclusive SmartBroadband data" available.
8142 MB will expire on 01/06/2021.
Hello! You have 39047 MB "inclusive Night Surfer Bundle data" available.
39047 MB will expire on 01/06/2021.
Hello! You have 10240 MB "LTE/LTE-A Anytime Data" available.
10240 MB will expire on 01/06/2021 at 00:00.
My question is where the June balance of 4.32 GO.
It must of been brought forward & included within the "GB Available" amount & therefore the "Total GB" for July, because you had 30 GB total, even though you're on a 10 + 10 package (so the rest was partly made up of the 4,32 GB , and some other rollover data) - that's my best guess.
What happen to the Data from the end of the day 30 June to at about 5:40 AM of the 1 July.
Seems like a lot was used in less than 1 day (over 8GB).
Do you have any machines - PC / laptop - and of course smartphone, accepting automatic updates.
If so, try changing your updates as far as possible, whereby you control when they're done.
If you were streaming anything or downloading anything (ie. video content), that would also use up data, quicker.
If you're with a Telkom re-seller, try phoning their call centre to let them talk you through where, or how the data was used up, so quickly.
