Telkom new prices

Dude rather try the online order form... there is one on www.do.co.za otherwise I contacted 10219
 
They also informed me that the new package names will only be on our Telkom Invoices from September... so that means it will still only show 2 GB or 3 GB and that we should not be alarmed... however the packages updates happens from 1 Aug
 
Just got off the phone with 10219. All systems go for activation tomorrow only as the new deals/prices are effective from 01 August.
Just terminated 3 x Axxess accounts (mine, my sisters and my folks)...R28.00/GB...can't beat that right now!
 
CyberSmart is an excellent ISP, for anyone wanting to move to them.
Sadly I'm moving away from them this month to look for greener pastures (those with an abundance of local bandwidth).

no...but i see the 2 gig only have 20 gig local...

guys, also thinking of going with DO3 and telling Mweb where to shove there R99 per gig!

BTW, how much is additional 1GB after you are capped? Mweb charges R99!

I did a TopUp via VISA last month... they charged R64.79 per GB including VAT
 
^^ wow thats not to bad then.. was thinking it would be around R80.

Yip, Telkom DO3 - here I come! Mweb can go to hell..

From the Telkom DO site:

do level 3 includes Fastest DSL (up to 4096kbps based on broadband technology) accompanied by 5 120 Megabytes (5GB) worth of data. *Included is 30,720 Megabytes (30GB) of local only data usage.

So if I read this right the R554 includes a 4MB line and 5GB cap, but excludes voice line rental.

Not a bad deal then! I'm currently on TI 384 + 3GB which costs around R500, so if I go DO3 it will cost me R554 + R131 (Line Rental) = R685?
 
Great..so now all telkom adsl browsing goes through a transparent proxy :(
anyone else notice this?
