Morning,
We have had a "request" from Telkom/OpenServe to access our complex as they have 4 orders, and want to install fibre, etc...
Issue is, we already have Vumatel in the complex, and everyone is signed up that will signup, and everyone is aware that Vumatel is far less expensive than Telkom/Openserve in the complex.
Concern is, it appears to be a bully tactic to get into the complex and upgrade their infrastructure. Vumatel came in and wired the whole suburb, and it appears everyone is dropping their (Telkom's) services. Even though Telkom was in the area before Vumatel, no one signed up for fibre from them.
Attached to the "polite" email, was a form to allow access and a court order showing how they (Telkom) won a case in Centurion against another estate for access.
Has anyone else has similar experiences with Telkom/Openserver and their complex. This does not seem very polite or reasonable, and more of a bully tactic. The premise of the order, and that they will upgrade their infrastructure, is what this all seems to be based on, however most, if not all have cancelled their data services, and likewise their voice services too.
What is our legal position? We are very small complex.
Thanks in advance....
