Telkom prepaid

Living in Durban, Im waiting to move over to this service.... one question though, can you get this on a prepaid basis?

Its on my standard bank Internet banking as with the other cell operators. Im would expect that it will work in the same way, but don't quote me on it. I'm still not 100% sure how you would purchase the actual bundle itself.

Any Telkom prepaid 3G users out there that can enlighten us how it works?

Do you have to sign a contract then? If so, can you cancel without any penalties as with an ADSL line?

It looks like it yes. I just bolt on the 3G package to our existing home telephone line...month to month to the best of my knowledge.

Also please remember to tell us which branch/city you visited so that we can get into contact with them. Most telkom direct shops are clueless. They all said *march*

I think the only prepaid option at this point in time is the Mobi 3G stuff. They have a link on their website that "points" to 3G data bundle purchase (the link however does not work).

Just spoke to an agent at 10219. She said they don't have pre-paid only 24 month contract. Damn!
