You can use the MDMA application which ginggs wrote to send USSD codes:

Thanks gifs , I use Ginggs' application with my vodacom/mtn sim cards , just wanting to know whether the Telkom sim will respond to USSD codes .

Telkom Prepaid is definitely on its Way !

Dont be impatient guys.

They are definitely working on a prepaid version.

Expect it somewhere around October 2009.

Had a look at Telkoms post-paid data bundles and it's very favorable.
If those prices are going to be the same when prepaid is launched then I'll give my VC sim card, which I use for data only, the royal boot into the braai and start the purification by fire

Any JHB fellows got the Prepaid Telkom Sim,

Maybe give us more info on it.

How do we check Balances and if the Data Bundle is shown on your Account Balance as well. How do we purchase Bundles.

I think prices will be the same as Contract.
