"Telkom has also met with the owners of the myADSL website, another vehement critic, to discuss the high price of its broadband services."
The PR machine is doing its work, but no Telkom forum representative as promised and no other feedback yet. I have emailed Telkom and if we receive no joy I think it might be a good idea to remind them of their promise…
I would be surprised if Telkom actually does anything more than 'listen to the customer'. They will probably mention every time they get that they listened to the customers and discussed issues with 'vehement critics'. If they do get a representative on this forum, he/she would probably do some more listening and assure us all that they are working on the problem. Or try to convince us that it's not so bad, our perception is just wrong.
This is nothing more that another PR exercise.
But they can prove me wrong. That will require some positive ACTION on their side though. And most of their efforts will probably be too little too late.
I predict that any positive action on their part will be inversely proportional to their stock price when the SNO gets going.
Telkom says it would provide basic training in "How the stock market works to new investors". I am willing to provide Telkom with basic training in how competition works as well as how to provide customer satisfaction.
It starts with ear transplants followed closely by a complete brain transplant.
ARE YOU WILLING TO TRY THIS, TELKOM?
We all agree we are unhappy with Telkom's products but we should have a list of specific demands which are displayed on a website with deadlines for implementation including the minimum specifications we expect from ADSL. This has gone on long enough.
