Telkom puts out call for new ads

Wow. Well i have to say the last company that did their ads really did it quite nicely. They got the message across that "There's nothing here" in almost all their ads.

I cant remember a single ad in recent years from telkum that actually demo'ed a service, make a commitment or hell even showed a product.

Rockets and doggies don't equal telecommunications.

The best one i saw was the guys on a boat in the middle of nowhere an there was a video connection. Just made me think.......Hey their not even using telkom products.....:p

IMO the most powerful advertising is by word of mouth.

Here Telkom does well, but in what light?
They are a household name, but only because we have had no choicen in the matter.

What the hell do they want more business for. They can't even cope with the ADSL installations they have already. Rather spend the money on more techies you idiots !

It is so easy to get the account. Just tell the board that you are so good that they can double their prices if they award the contract to you. Those greedy suckers falls for it everytime.

Hello gatvol_paying.
Welcome to MyADSL. :)

Where you from dude?
That IP doesn't look South African?
I had to moderate that link you put up, as it did not point to Hellopeter?
It pointed to a website about Helicopters?

Telkom is very good at "feel good" advertising. This is the single biggest impediment to spreading the truth about Telkom IMO. Stupid people like feeling warm and fuzzy even if it is at their expence...

I recommended here http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=39164 that people diss Telkom's ads in public. Especially TV and cinema ads... Be creative when you do it and people will love you for doing it! It can be tough on the girlfriend though if she is with you... Be kind to her and hard on Telkom!

:D

of itself a neutral statement....i.e. it is still a household name if the only context it is spoken in is one where the word "fsck" is placed before it

ROFL :D

Maybe they changed agencies because the last agency kept on telling people to 'abuse' their ADSL accounts. Remember that ad with the family in the house telling people they could download movies, and then they changed it to 'movie trailers'. Idiots.

Ya just shows you what Telkom advertising is worth! Just like those Telkom Markinor surveys.
